As I set out to complete some writing and develop some seminars on the topic of church organization, God decided to steer me down another road. A couple of weeks ago I was asked by my denominational headquarters to speak at a national pastor's conference in Germany in May! Wow - wasn't expecting that. But, I knew when I first heard it that this was of God and that I would go.
So my writing is shelved for now in favor of completing several training sessions on Purpose and Vision, Growth Barriers, and the Changing Roles of the Pastor, Board, and Congregation in the Growing Church. The ideas are flowing and this is refining my thinking more than it would have been without this responsibility. In the end these will give me greater preparation and opportunity to help others here in the states. But who would have thunk that I would offer a seminar first in Germany and then here? Apparently God did.
So with Powerpoint in hand, I await my passport and look forward to this very good opportunity. Leaving May 13th, Returning May 20th.
