It is the first official day of spring and we are experiencing an early one in Minnesota. That means many things to many people. To me it means chasing the little white ball soon. When I do, there will we one thing between me and the ball, and that is my clubs, my resources. Kicking and throwing are highly frowned upon on the golf course. You are limited to the mechanics of your swing and your clubs, your resources. Not unlike the church.
We can have the best vision and the wrong staff and we will have a Mt.-Everest-like-climb ahead trying to get to that vision. We can make the best use of our time and if our programs are poorly executed, we will drive more people to the church down the block than come through our doors. Or we can faithfully pray, preach, and care for the body, but if we fail to have a stream of funding coming in, we will only have more to pray about.
I plan to camp on these thoughts in my upcoming blogs. For now, which resource would you change from this list if you could: your staff, your programs and systems, your facility, or your funding. Why?
Would you mind handing me that 3 wood? Oooooh! FORE………
